Sopranos

The Stichting Omroep Muziek (SOM) facilitates the concert series and the ensembles of the Netherlands Public Broadcasting (NPO): the Netherlands Radio Choir (het Groot Omroepkoor) and the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra (Radio Filharmonisch Orkest). The choir has a prominent part in the concert series of the NPO, such as the “NTR ZaterdagMatinee”, “AVROTROS Vrijdagconcert” and “Het Zondagochtend Concert”.
Vacancy
The Netherlands Radio Choir, under Benjamin Goodson as its Chief Conductor from the 2020/21 season, has the following vacancies for outstanding professional choral singers:

Auditions
Audition dates: 21, 22, 27 and 28 October, 2020 (afternoons and evenings) in Hilversum, The Netherlands

Audition requirements: solo, choir repertoire and sight reading will be part of the audition.

Applicants should have experience working in choral music at the highest level, suitable professional vocal training, preferably a Masters’-level degree or higher in vocal performance from a music conservatoire, and a willingness for and commitment to personal professional development.

The audition committee will short-list applicants for audition from this initial application. Stichting Omroep Muziek adheres to the Employment and Aliens law in the recruitment and selection procedure. Following European regulations, inhabitants of countries outside the European Community can also be invited when they are in the possession of an unrestricted Dutch work and residence permit.
