Section Leader Viola (альт)

The Ulster Orchestra is seeking to appoint a Section Leader to its Viola section. The ideal candidate will have excellent solo & orchestral playing abilities and a commitment to delivering a high standard of work; demonstrate excellent leadership skills; actively develop/support positive working relationships with other members of the orchestra, including the administration, the section and any freelance players.

In addition to leading & managing the section, the successful candidate will the opportunity to participate in a range of chamber music and Learning & Community Engagement activities.

Candidates invited to audition will be able to demonstrate the following in their application:

ESSENTIAL
• Highly reputable classical music training
• Excellent professional orchestral & solo viola playing abilities

DESIRABLE
• Proven expertise in a wide range of musical activity, including education/chamber work
• Considerable recent professional orchestral experience in a numbe
