United Kingdom. Oxfordshire County Music Service (OCMS) is looking for a peripatetic Oboe teacher for 3 days a week from January 2020. This will be on a casual basis until December 2020 and may be extended.
We are looking for candidates who are:
• Able to teach from beginner to post grade eight standard in primary and secondary schools
• Able to teach students individually, and in groups
• Looking for work during the day, evening or on Saturdays
• The ability to teach other instruments would be a benefit
OCMS offers weekly music lessons and a thriving programme of ensembles and events including vocal; performing arts; music tech; early music; theory; Area Music Centres; EYFS, adult programmes, and holiday / weekend courses. Progression is provided in all genres from big bands and rock and pop groups to wind bands and orchestras, with advanced groups regularly performing at cultural events, in national venues and on tour.
