OPEN VACANCY – ASSOCIATE CONCERTMASTER

Audition date Sunday November 28th 2021 at 1 p.m.

Place Joensuu Conservatory Concert Hall, Rantakatu 31, 80100 JOENSUU

Set of works

1. W.A. Mozart: Violin Concerto No. 3 in G Major or No. 4 in D Major or No. 5 in A Major, 1st and 2nd movement with cadenza

2. First movement with cadenza from Violin concertos by Beethoven, Brahms, Sibelius, Nielsen or Tchaikovsky

3. Orchestral excerpts

Set of works will be sent to those who qualified from 1st round.

The first round is implemented with video recording, closing date 28th October 2021 3pm (EET). More detailed instructions for video application below. Second round is held live in Joensuu 28th November 2021.

Assignment for the first round’s video application: Mendelssohn: Symphony No. 4, bar 1-110, Prokofiev: Symphony No. 1, mov. 1, from the beginning to H, Bach: St. Matthew passion, Erbarme Dich, mein Gott, solo. Load the first round’s works from here.

The invitation to the audition 2nd round will be sent by e-mail only for those who qualified the first round.

In application remember to say whether or not you wish to use our pianist. Use of own accompanist by your own expenses is also allowed.

Job-specific salary, possible adds and terms of employment are determined in accordance with the municipal general employment contract (KVTES). Starting date of employment is January 10th 2022 or as agreed. The audition includes an interview. The job includes 6 months trial period.
