SECOND ELIMINATORY ROUND: − Choose one concerto in the list below, with cadenza (with piano):Beethoven, Brahms, Sibelius, Tchaïkovski; − Bach: 3rd and 4th movement from one of these sonatas for solo violin:
BWV 1001, 1003 or 1005; − Strauss: solo from Le Bourgeois gentilhomme
FINAL: Chamber music: - Mendelssohn: String octet, E-flat major, Op. 20; 1st movement
With the orchestra:
- Brahms: Symphony No.1 ; 2nd movement
- Strauss: Ein Heldenleben (A Hero's Life) (excerpts)
− Tchaïkovski : solo from Le Lac des cygnes
− Ravel : Ma mère l’Oye – le jardin féérique
