Associate Principal Double Bass

Kymi Sinfonietta is recruiting a ASSOCIATE PRINCIPAL DOUBLE BASS for a permanent position. The salary will be determined in accordance with the relevant collective agreement (KVTES). A requirement for playing chamber music is included in the position. We hope that the applicants possess good co-operation and interaction skills.

The audition will be held on Saturday, January 15th, 2022 at the Kotka Concert Hall (address Keskuskatu 33, Kotka) beginning at 12:00. The orchestra will provide an accompanist for the audition. The use of another accompanist is also possible at your own expense. The audition can include chamber music assignments. 

Audition assignments: 

1.  C. D. von Dittersdorf: Concerto for double bass nr 2 (Krebs 172), 1st movement with cadenza (the edition and cadenza can be chosen freely by the applicant)
2. First movement of a free choice romantic era concerto
3. Orchestra and chamber music excerpts, which can be ordered from tuomas.vanhalakka@kymisinfonietta.fi from 15th of December onwards.
