The Nidaros Cathedral Boys’ Choir. We are seeking an Artistic Director to succeed our beloved Bjørn Moe, who has decided to retire after more than four decades. We are looking for a motivated and highly skilled replacement, who can lead the choir into the future. Our new artistic director will need extensive knowledge of church music and be familiar with evangelical liturgy. S/he will have a central role in teaching children, youth, and adults – so s/he must be a skilled and empathic communicator.

Key responsibilities will be to lead the choir in all practices, cathedral services and concerts, to teach vocal technique and to determine the choir’s repertoire in collaboration with the choir’s administration and the cathedral. We expect the new director to challenge us and to continuously help us improve our performance.

Relevant applicants are expected to have higher education, primarily in music. Experience as an Artistic Director and with youth groups is an advantage.
